SMARTBLOCK 60-180/300-80

SmartBlock can be supplied in several version depending on the specific use required. The materials used give high mechanical performances. The SmartBlock together with the integral female cap is used for the alignement and connection of the segments. The SmartBlock is produced through mould injection and it is suitable with the integral female cap englobed in the concrete. The SmartBlock is designed and manufactured to meet specific requirements of the Customer.
The SmartBlock has high resistance characteristics of pull out and shear strenghts which does not involve excessive pulling forces. The product is pre-assembled into the integral female cap englobbed in the concrete, with the aid of a metal rod. The SmartBlock has the function to facilitate the proper placement of the concrete segment during the installation step and to guarantee an excellent alignement when concrete segments come in contact with each other. This allows the realization of well-aligned rings. The particular conformation of the SmartBlock guarantees features of easy insertion and strong extraction force.

Certificate of patent for industrial invention by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and French Institute of Industrial Property

It’s an innovative solution that allows great flexibility by adapting the product to the technical and economic requirements of the Customer. Changes of material and size allow customized solutions. The patent covers the heeled tooth form that varying the material used or its development gives a result of anchoring with the corresponding female predictable and calculable.
For example in the sizing of steel screws.
With this solution we have developed an innovative product that has reached values of pull-out from 60 kN to 280 kN. Values of shear strength from 60 kN to over 250 kN. It’s a result that rewards our efforts in product development which required three years of intense work in collaboration with various research laboratories and in particular with the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Tor Vergata in Rome, which has developed a precise testing protocol.
